Nha Trang Scuba Diving: The Ultimate Fun Diving Experience Introduction

A New Challenge in Nha Trang

Hello! I used to be a PADI scuba diving instructor. I earned my instructor certification back in 2011, which means it’s been 14 years already. Recently, due to the pandemic, I couldn’t renew my instructor certification, so I’m currently unable to issue certifications. Nowadays, I work as a guide, traveling between Nha Trang and Da Lat. During the off-season, I had the opportunity to experience scuba diving in Nha Trang, and I’d like to share that story with you.

 

Pickup and Departure

The Beginning of Nha Trang Scuba Diving Nha Trang scuba diving starts early in the morning. Pickup is around 7:10 AM, and since I was diving alone, I traveled by motorbike. I was excited to dive again after a long time. Around 8 AM, we set off on a boat with other divers. I was the only Korean, and there were people from various nationalities. It takes about 30 minutes by boat to reach the diving points.

Preparation Before Diving: Facilities and Food

Before starting the dive, fruits and water were prepared. Of course, beer was also available for a fee. I had a quick breakfast with some fruit, and when the dive master asked about drinks, I chose beer. Such small pleasures are part of the Nha Trang scuba diving experience.

Fun Diving: Attractive Points in Nha Trang

Nha Trang fun diving may not offer views of large fish or schools of fish, but it’s an excellent spot for divers who enjoy cave exploration. Although the dive master was filming videos and I couldn’t take many photos, the caves and small schools of fish were impressive.

Lunch: Enjoying Local Flavors

Lunch was served buffet-style, where you could make your own banh mi. In the Philippines, lunch typically consisted of packed meals or barbecues, but in Nha Trang, there was a variety of food to experience. The spices weren’t too strong, so it suited the Korean palate well.

Cave Exploration: Hidden Gems of Nha Trang

The cave points in Nha Trang are challenging spots that require good buoyancy control. Exploring the caves with the dive master allowed me to fully appreciate their charm. It might be difficult with just an open water certification, so I recommend it to experienced divers.
